Main Backpack – Oakley Icon

Sturdy, water-resistant, and the zippers have never failed after a decade. Laptop sleeve, side pouches, and hidden compartments help keep everything organized. The 32L size could be small for some nomads, but it works perfectly for minimalist.

Day Pack – Zomake Ultralight

Super lightweight, collapsible, and washes with laundry. Perfect for day trips. Easily scrunches into the main bag.

Abus High Security Padlock

High-security hardened steel combination lock — no keys to keep track of. I use this as my main lock, but the thick shackle doesn’t fit all hostel lockers. Great for securing gear, crates, or most hostel lockers. I recommend Mr. DIY if you need to grab a cheap backup padlock.

Laptop – Asus L210

Affordable, lightweight (1kg), quiet (fanless) and still going strong after 3+ years on the road. It’s survived countless flights, x-rays, buses/trains/boats, and motorbike trips. Not built for gaming, but perfect for what I need. GhostNomad.ca was created on this little machine. Low-key enough to leave around hostels without worry.

Universal Adapter

Compact, no-frills, and it’s worked in every country I’ve visited. It charges my phone and e-reader, so no need to carry a dedicated chargers.

Kobo E-reader

Compact, reliable, and slips flat right next to my laptop in the bag. Great for downtime or long bus rides. Doubles as a nightlight. Battery lasts for weeks and no need for additional charger. I keep it next to my pillow.
